Autumn Leaves!

Today we started writing a poem about Autumn.  After fitness time we headed over to the far side of the field to gather some inspiration.  We were little beavers scurrying around gathering up as many leaves as we could to make two big piles.  We split into two teams and then on the count of three threw the leaves in the air - we then regrouped as a class and did it one last time.  Many children took some interesting leaves back to class to inspect the colours, shapes, crispness, lines and markings on them.  We said some even felt like a cats tongue licking your hand.  Hopefully we will be inspired to write descriptive, creative poems that really capture Autumn.  We will publish these later in the week.
