BDO to Wigram Airforce Museum!

Today we had a fantastic Big Day Out to the Wigram Airforce Museum. We went on the bus with Room 19 and were greeted by Chris when we arrived at the museum. He was an amazing teacher! Our class got to do the scavenger hunt around the museum first. We all answered most of the questions - some of the parents might have helped us out a wee bit! We had morning tea and then we headed for the classroom to learn some really interesting facts and information about the Anzacs. Once we had spent time in the classroom we headed for the simulator room where we were treated like airforce men/women who were fighting in the pacific during WWII. What an awesome trip and we couldn't have gone if it wasn't for our fabulous parents who helped. Thanks to Sharon, Bronwyn, Hayley, Wendy, Peter, Duncan, Steven and Neil for being so fantastic today! 

A busy week in Room 20.

Last week flew by! We had book week and enjoyed listening to different teachers share their favourite picture books with us, we had a school book olympics on Thursday and watched a show called Worlds Apart. We were the middle team winners! On Friday it was Miss Dekker's last day and we shared morning tea with her and gave her a lovely farewell gift - a laminator.
We then went to Alpine View retirement village and sung to the residents there. They were most impressed with our singing and also our behaviour  - awesome job!  In the afternoon we watched Mrs Hunter's senior ESOL group perform a play - they were amazing up on stage!

Book Character Day 2015!

Wow what an amazing turn out of favourite book characters today in Room 20.  We are so impressed by the imagination and also likeness to many favourite characters. We have a range of characters including Mr Stink, Cinderella's Ugly Sister and Step Mother, Captain Underpants, Little Red Riding Hood, Miss Spider from James and the giant peach, Ron Weasley and even Bobo Baggins - plus so many more. Wild and Wacky hit Room 20 today! All the children looked amazing!

Happy Birthday Riley!

A huge Happy Birthday to Riley. We all hope you have had a fantastic day. Your new cricket bat and Weirdo book are really cool gifts - lucky boy.
Have fun celebrating being 9 years old.

Cooking Maths

Yesterday we put our weighing skills to the test.  We made a couple of batches of Lolly Cake.  Today we got to take our treat home. Yummmm - we love practical maths!
