Skills for Understanding PE session at Avonside Girls.

Today we had our first skills session with the Year 12 girls from Avonside Girls High School.  Our 4 classes were split into 5 groups and 3 girls took us for a number of super fun, energetic games.  They were fantastic at learning our names and keeping us on-task for the session.  We even managed to experience a fire drill before we jumped back on the bus at 12:00.  We are looking forward to our next session next Tuesday!

City to Surf Stars!

On Sunday Evie and Eden both completed the 6km City to Surf.  They both were so proud of their efforts and showed off their certificates to the class on Monday.  Well done girls!!!!

Happy 8th Birthday Sven!

Sven celebrated his 8th birthday last week.  What a great day as it was Mufti and he was the assembly MC too! Happy Birthday Sven!

Hosting our first assembly!

Last Thursday Room 20 hosted their first assembly.  Tanner and Sven were our fantastic MC's for the day.  They did a brilliant job of organising how the assembly would run and they spoke loud and clear to the audience.  We had a couple of technical issues displaying the songs but we mucked our way through with great Year 4 singers!
Awesome job Tanner and Sven - wonder who would like to be the MC's next time?

Disco Dancers

On Friday night the Year 4's boogied down to groovy music and had a ball with glowing glow sticks and catching up with friends.  There were some children dressed for Friday the 13th and some outstanding hairdo's,  It is our first time at the Senior Disco - Wahoo Year 4!!!   Here are a few snaps from the night - I am sorry they are a bit blurry and dark - not easy to snap disco dancers!!!

Fun Day Friday In Room 20!

On Friday it was a gorgeous sunny day and we leapt at the opportunity to sketch the vibrant sunflowers that are growing outside Room 15.  We are looking forward to using pastel to finish these later this week.

Spencer Park Big Day Out...
